Your NSA

“Who Are We?”
- Founded in 1996, the National Student Assembly (NSA) is the unified voice of all physical therapy student members across Canada and a part of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
- All students registered through the CPA are considered members of the National Student Assembly!
- Our leadership team includes four representatives (i.e., two junior and senior students) from each of Canada’s physiotherapy academic programs, in addition to our Division/ Branch student representatives

If you are presently involved with a Division or Branch, we encourage you to step up as a Student Division/ Branch Representative!
Our Mission
- To promote the role of CPA in the development and advancement of physiotherapy students.
- To represent the voice of students to the CPA at local, provincial, and national level conversations.
- To facilitate and foster connections between incoming and present PT students, new graduates, and their Canadian communities.
Our Vision
For you, your classmates, and colleagues to:
- Become more involved with CPA, its Divisions and Branches to learn about your profession.
- Provide education and information to Canadians on the benefits of physiotherapy.
- Engage in in-person and virtual networking with students, educators, PTs, and across Canada.
What does an NSA Representative Do?
- Bimonthly meeting to share CPA updates
- Support the development of programs and initiatives for student members
